Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tour Guiding Tutor with a diploma or equivalent qualification in Tourism to join our educational institution. Responsibilities:

2. Instruction: Conduct lectures, workshops, and practical sessions focusing on tour guiding techniques, historical and cultural knowledge, customer service, and safety protocols.
3. Practical Training: Organize and lead field trips, mock tours, and practical exercises to provide hands-on experience and enhance students’ tour guiding skills.
4. Mentorship: Offer guidance, feedback, and support to students, aiding in their development as competent and knowledgeable tour guides.
5. Destination Knowledge: Instruct students on local and global destinations, landmarks, historical significance, cultural practices, and natural attractions.
6. Customer Interaction: Teach effective communication, interpersonal skills, and customer service strategies required for guiding diverse groups of tourists.
7. Technology Integration: Integrate technology and digital tools relevant to tour guiding, including navigation apps, audio guides, and multimedia resources.
8. Safety and Ethics: Educate students on safety procedures, ethical considerations, and responsible tourism practices.
9. Industry Networking: Foster connections with industry professionals, guest speakers, and organizations to facilitate networking opportunities and industry insights for students.

Qualifications:

1. Diploma or equivalent qualification in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field is required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
2. Practical experience in the tourism industry, preferably as a tour guide, with in-depth knowledge of destinations, cultures, and tourism operations.
3. Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience in tour guiding, travel operations, or related subjects is advantageous.
